relating to upper pics :)

Hi..again..as you can see the guys are tiny..if you look to the far upper left hand corner on the first pic you can see one the other is hiding behind a leaf :) Petkel..

Welcome to the forum!

You chams look young, so housing them at the moment may be ok. However, you'll have to seperate them soon as they'll most likely stress eachother out. Also, most people recommend cages with more screening to allow for more airflow.

There's plenty of people here with great chameleon knowledge. I spent my first month on this site just searching & reading about lighting, watering, supplementation, feeding, housing, etc... lots of good stuff to learn here. Good luck!

Yes, even though you intend to breed these, they should live apart. They are naturally solitary animals. They should be brought together only when the female is ready to breed. You have some time before it becomes an issue, but you definitely want two separate enclosures.

Yeah..i am planning to seperate them when they are 5 months old :) so this enclosure is temporary at the moment..the air flow is good as the whole top of the viv is mesh..gonna stick some more vines in there for walk ways ect..i am going to move them into a flexarium what do you think?..and what size should i get for when i move them out into seperate vivs?..thanx..Petkel..

Oh sorry i forgot to mention my size viv is 18x18x24 inches and i am using a 5.0 uv light 60w sun glo bulb is this ok? the temps in there are 80f is this ok too i thought it might be a bit too low and feedback will be very much appreciated..Petkel..

5 months? You might want to run that idea by the more experienced breeders here (have you checked out the breeding forum? it's worth a look). I've read of females producing eggs before 6 months so you might be pushing it with 5.

They are sure little cuties. congrats How were you able to find a pair of unrelated chameleons to breed? Most breeders only have one line which would make the brother & sister. Not good breeding stock.:(

Hi..i live in England..i found a breeder called kk chameleons and are one of the biggest breeders over here.i went to her place and saw a whole room full of chams different clutches and bearded dragons..i will certainly buy from them again :) i am looking to get my hands on to some pygmy chams next but they are so hard to get hold of as they are what i initially intended to buy but i can only find places that sell w/c which is not good..if you live in England she is selling the chams on preloved and reptile classifields but i don't think she ships out abroad..Petkel..

As these are my first chams i wanted to ask if it is normal for these chams to be different sizes they are both about the same age which is 7 weeks but are from different clutches and one is smaller than the other..is this something to worry about?..

I have friends in the south east (Meopham) and I saw quite a few places selling chameleons around Swanley and Famingham my last trip.

From what I've read, size of different clutches can vary widely. There's one breeder here who's babies are, apparently, enormous compared to those from other breeders.
