My Calumma malthe pair From Inside my Greenhouse Today

This is a series of photo's of my Calumma malthe pair from inside my greenhouse today. This is one species of Calumma that has responded great to the high humidity of my greenhouse. This species basks occasionally through out the day. However their normal behavior has been to cruise and hunt the thick branches and foliage that are in their enclosures. They have been a great species to keep.

Hey Chase

She just had a visit to the vet last Wednesday and the xrays say that she is not gravid. She has been spending a lot of time with the male meaning she if all goes well may become gravid soon.

Very healthy looking pair, unique species.

Thanks! This species is more available now than Trioceros quadricornis quadricornis and gracilors imports. However there is only two out of twelve species of Madagascar Elephant Eared Chameleons available though for the reptile hobby. All of those species are something to behold.

OMG Jeremy, they are so nice and fat! Really dumb question--is the female coloration more brown with only the male having that bright green?

Thanks Jeremy

Not a problem.

She looked amazing how was the acclimation periods for them?

They are actually have not finished acclimating. I am holding off for some good fecals samples to have a look for parasites.

The male is not fat. His legs have just filled out. The female has a mothers belly. Her arms are actually on the slim side. When you look at her from the side she looks as wide as a female Furcifer pardalis.

The female's coloration goes from brown to bright reddish coloration with the lobes and eyes going from green to blue to purple color. Her normal camouflage coloration is just the branch color brown.
