Hi everyone, so I went back to using my username that I have on my gecko forums. Anyway so I got a new Ambilobe hes beautiful and I loves him so much. So my question is, he has his cage set up inside at the moment and I leave his cage door open next to my window. Well he is always out of his cage and up my blinds he climbs to the top and stays there for hours. Until I put him back in his cage. Is this normal? id there maybe something wrong with his cage? doesnt he need to be by the warm light and water?
Even when I put him back in his cage for some food and water he stays in there for maybe 20mins and climbs right out...
should I worry?

here are a couple pics

his cage (inside right now bc its been raining)
and I switched to a white light instead of the red.

It's probably because it's at a much higher point than the highest point in his cage. They like to be up high, so either set up a plant with UVB and heat or keep him in his cage all the time.

he usually doesnt go all the way to the top like in the pic. He is always about half way up and the lamp on the right is on always on for a warm spot for him but he doesnt even go near the lamp. Also you cant see it but just over to the right there is a tall bamboo plant on top of my fire place that I tried putting him on with the light pointing to him but he still somehow climbs over to the blinds.

My chameleon likes to climb on the curtains. Maybe they just like windows lol. I think they just like to explore as much as they can
