mistking exploded an elbow and leaked all over

Another great thing about Marty's (mistkings) system, they hold up very well over time. I was his very first customer several years ago and I am still using the same nozzles (well some of them) and even that old pump still works. It was insanely loud so I have a newer quiet one, but even from the start he has had great quality. I have the tubing split every year or so (some of the tubing is old and I'll replace once I finish building my cage), but the hardware for the system has held up extremely well!

Have a mistking but not a fan of the easy-connect system. i may be in the minority, but i'd love to have "male" ends on the pump that you could fit a hose over and clamp. The easy-connect system just seems more prone to failure. My opinion- like the product, like the company. I'm sure that there is a design reason for the easy-connect, probably the low profile hoses.

the tubing I use will hold up to 250PSI.... the Mistking pump can push 125PSI. If I am not mistaken the fittings can hold the same pressure as the tubing?

It seems that if people have leaks there is an issue with the tubing not being up to par or cut wrong and not fitting correctly.

Thing to remember about any tubing is that over a few years of it baking under the lights it will lose it's properties and at some point may not withstand the pressure and may burst. I've had this happen in my own collection with blue tubing that I used myself on the very beginning - that happened with a 160psi pump. The black tubing has never burst on me. Not to say that it never will.

The black tubing is rated for 300 psi and the standard pump is 75psi with a 125psi bypass so chances are that you'll have bake the tubing few inches from hot lights for a few years before it blows. That's said, the chance is always there, so It's always a good idea with any applience to take precausions....esp with one that runs with water.

Agree that accurate cutting is important. Again, I like the system - waiting for my second one to arrive any day now. Was hoping to get away with one system but needed a second because my chams are too spread out. Also agree that any system, especially one that deals with water in your house, should be frequently inspected.
