After reading so many sources about the dangers and risks to using Baytril, I found a antibiotic that not only cured my veiled chameleon of Lower respiratory infection, it cured her! The Antibiotic is called Tobramycin. The lable says "Tobramycin Ophthalmic" 0.3%. Its commonly used in cat or dog eyes. However, it is in the same family that can treat Lower respiratory infections. My Female Veiled Chameleon was slimy around the mouth and her left eye was shut most of the time. She spent most of her time rubbing her left closed eye on the screen and branches because it was bothering her so much. I gave her 1 drop twice a day for 6 days. By day 3 she was already looking 100% normal. However, you don't want to stop the antibiotics because you want to make sure all bad bacteria is killed and she doesn't become immune to the medication. I made sure she had dripping water throughout this treatment. SShe showed ZERO aftereffects (0)!!! THIS STUFF WORKS GREAT!!!!!!

I applaud your enthusiasm, and I'm glad your cham is doing well. That being said though unless you are a vet, or are sure you know exactly what you are doing you really shouldn't be posting medical subscriptions. What if someone took your advise and something went horribly wrong are you prepared for that? What you do for your cham is your business, but you should only suggest someone try something if it worked for you and not give out instructions for how to administer it. If your are a vet, or someone qualified to give a subscription than please forgive my rant. Wishing you well Jeff

Sorry if I come off a little strong it's just your chams weight could be different than someone else's, and if they follow your dosing schedule they could be overdosing their cham. I do appreciate your suggestion though, and if my cham ever gets a repertory infection I will bring it up to my vet.
