Medium to small chameleons for starters

I can't own Jackson's, Panther, and Veileds because of size problems so what are some small but not tiny chameleons that I could find

I think carpets would work but most chameleons need the same amount of space, you could always get a crested gecko they are pretty cool and a lot smaller and easy to care for

Carpets are very hard to find if I'm not mistaken

They are not that hard to find by they only live for about 2 years

Males live longer than two years. And females will too if you don't intend to breed her, or if you do, breed her minimally.

What is your experience level with reptiles in general?

I ask because chameleons are not the easiest (most forgiving) reptiles to keep, and the smaller species are not the easiest chameleons to keep.

For something smaller that can still show some color change, you might look into green anoles.
