MBD Bowed or broken leg discussion

My dad is an orthopedic (which means bones and muscles) physical therapist. I told him about Roberts MBD and showed him the bends and bows in the leg. He came up with an idea (for the record we are NOT doing this, vet said his bones would heal on their own) to use adhesive Coban as a splint. Coban is a strong tape that sticks to itself, not to skin. Since you can’t splint a chameleon leg without causing more damage, he thought this might be a good idea for severe breaks in chameleons’ legs. He’s going to do some research on chameleons and see if something like this would help.

Any thoughts on this? Again, we aren’t going to try it on Robert.
