He's not bad right now. It will take him some time to adjust to new people/surroundings. He's very curious and loves exploring around. He came with a basketball sized ball to put him in for excercise. He rolls everywhere in that thing.
We've only had him out a couple times since we got him. Trying to give him time and space to get used to us. He seems to be eating and drinking well though.
They're very interesting little creatures. They're actually not to prickly unless you've disturbed them and then they go into a ball in stick their little spikes out. I can't wait until he gets more accustomed to us and looks forward to coming out of his cage ... unlike most chameleons! LOL

He is a total cutie pie! Good name too. My husband wanted one. I brought home a pamphlet on them from my vet's office a couple of years ago. They are nocturnal so they are supposed to sleep during the day. That may be one reason you don't see much of him. Are they supposed to be affectionate? Very cute guy

Yes they are nocturnal. He has a little pigloo (guinea pig igloo) and a little blanket. He stays in his pigloo during the day and covers himself with the little blanket. He's just like having another kid. LOL
His main diet is catfood but will eat some fruits, veggies and insects. He's eaten 3 butterworms since I got him and cat food. He didn't seem interested in the half grape I gave him.
I haven't had him long enough to know if he's affectionate or not. I'm thinking similar to a hamster or guinea pig ... but he seems to perhaps be a little smarter. Time will tell !!

I just got a hedgehog for my little guy a couple days ago ... his name is MAXX.
He was a good price and came with extra EVERYTHING !!

Dave I am jealous!! He is so cute! I almost bought one at the local pet store a couple years back. They just have the cutest faces! Your son must be excited, he has some of the coolest animals!
