I meant as good as hes gonna get for his condition. He has been that brown drab forever and ya his bone structure is wonky but hes not in pain and can function fine. He's just not gonna grow

Wherever do you get your information? MBD is a killer and his bones are deteriorating. MBD has nothing to do with growth spurts. He needs a vet or he's going to die. His calcium level needs to be increased and supplementation, while necessary, isn't going to fix what this little guy has in time.

He's been getting proper supplements since the onset. He has looked like this for 6 mos now. Lately he has been acting strange thts all

I think it would be wiser to follow the advice of the more experienced members here on the forums. You did ask for help and now people are offering it.

I think at this point it's going to be hard to defend his position as "fine". I really hope you guys find the care that this guy needs. Perhaps your friend isn't ready for the responsibility of a chameleon seeing the horrible condition that guy is in.

Yes, its male. Were not that dumb lol. And nothing is wrong with orchid bark as far as i know.

There have been cases of a female having a bit of a spur on their hind legs

What UVB light is he getting? Is it the same one he has been getting in the last 6 months? Is there any glass or plastic between the UVB and where the chameleon sits?

What specific supplements are being used and how often? What are the insects being fed?

What's the temperature in the basking area?

18*18*36 screen cage, reptisun 5.0, crickets, mealworms everyday supplemented with reptical P-free supplement every other day or so. He has been getting this care ever since his MBD.

you can over supplement as well which is not good. MBD, or Rickets is a very bad thing, but it can be stabilized with the proper nutrition, but his knots could remain such as bad arthritis does to humans. Convince you buddy to take him to the vet, and he will be able to if need be supplement him. And also ask to see if he seems to have stabilized, or if its going to continue to get worse, and make his life nothing but painful. what is the recommended vet check for x-rays to see how the bone structure is
