MALE or FEMALE?

They came back with an offer to swap for a male with them paying shipping, or a generous refund. Both are fair so I will not be pursuing this any further. Jigsaw already has a home so I took the refund. The only way I'd even consider letting her go is to a local, experienced keeper, and that's not happening since I have no plans to go out and actively solicit a buyer. So, it looks like I may be a couple years away from owning a male panther as the situation stands. My wife is very clear that she likes the chameleon we already have.

glad to hear you got it worked out.

its good that everything worked out!! waiting a couple years will just give you more experience and practice to make the perfect home for your male :)

thats not rite at all an seems to be happening more an more lately thats why i stick to breeders i trust cause if that kind of mistake happens they make it rite not rip you you just cause they cant tell the differnce in what there selling to people, its really pretty sad if you ask me. id say if your goin to sell chams that you breed you should have better customer service when you send people THE WRONG SEX cham.. If this breeder wont make it rite in your eyes go make a thread on fauna boi, ive hadto before it helps get it resolved or atleast other people can see it an choose not to get a cham from a breeder that cant even tell the sex of there chams...
ps... whinein bout how hard it is to sex a baby cham? i see some can sex them rite out of the egg, an yes sometimes it can happen but with a few breeders it happens alot imho

They can be sexed right out of the egg and if it is hard for one to determine sex then it should not be sold until it is definite. Im glad you are somewhat happy about the outcome. It does seem to be happening much more than usual. You have a nice looking female and I am sure she would be glad to be in your hands if she knew:)

My wife is gonna let me get another cham a lot sooner than I expected. She said that I BETTER get a male this time though because it's not happening again. I just have to be conservative on what I spend since I already went over budget with the first one. So, looks like I'm gonna be shopping around for a used 2x2x4 cage and a male ambilobe.:D

I've been thinking about it, and Jigsaw is the perfect name for my chameleon. My favorite part of the Saw movies is the twist at the end where the victim gets pwn3d by something totally unexpected. And here I have a little panther chameleon who's all like "PLOT TWIST: I'm actually a girl!". So it looks like she lived up to her name.

I'm glad that everything is working out for you and Jigsaw. Don't be super rushed to get your second chameleon after all you just got your first and I would recommend buying one 7 or 8 months old when you do buy and check out the person you buy from ahead of time. We have some awesome members here that breed small time and when you are ready check the classifieds here on the forums.
