Making your own rock walls for terrariums.

Anyone ever do this? I've read and watched many video's of this and looks very doable. (and fun)

I'm concerned with any affects a rock wall made of styrofome, grout, enamal paint and sealer would have on a cham and it's life expectancy in a heated enclosure that stays 60-100F most of the time.

I made my own. It was a lot of fun. You can look in my thread. Should be right under this one! My Cham is in a growing bin right now so I can't comment on life expectancy since I just made it for this Cham

i made my one with expander foam, was easy to do, even added some pots so i can plan pothos vines and other plants.

yeh fine, it helps keep the humidity in nice and heat and doesnt get affected by the heat light, i dont have my heat light right on top of it but its near it and doesnt warp or melt it, ill take some pics when i get home and post them on here, and then i just used a low odour spray can and painted it with that, its come up great and hides all the wires and stuff great

I spray mine directly with water bc of the planter I made into it. And I have the lights running on the same cycle as my chameleon to keep the plant growth healthy without having to take them outside and rewash them. It is holding up perfectly fine. The non-sanded grout I used along with the waterproof sealer keeps out moisture and works great in hot climates since it's made to perform outside in direct sunlight
