Major Problems w/ Flukers Lighting

I have had nothing but problems with fluker flood mercury 100 & 160 watt reptile bulbs. In the last couple of months I have gone through 2. 1) melted into lamp 2) stopped working after 2 weeks.

My local reptile shop has changed suppliers. They gave me a bulb for my trouble, which was very generous considering they are 45 to 50$/each I'm now using Solar-Brite Mercury Vapor 160w Reptile bulb @ 10,000 hours. Thoughts on bulbs? I was told this bulb is good until it goes out.

Most people on here do not use mercury vapor bulbs with chameleons. Unless you have an absolutely huge cage or a free range of large size it is recommended against.
