LOOSE OR IN A POT?

I often wonder whether its best to leave crickets, hoppers etc loose in the viv or placed in an escape proof pot?
My juv cam is not eating anywhere near what he used to. In fact he can often not eat for a few days. Is it better to let him chase and find his meals rather than on a plate so to speak?

Any ideas would be very welcome folks. Thanks in advance

I've always free ranged the insects....just my way of doing it.

Its funny you mention that. Ive been trying to feed Hammy from a pot of several insects, but he's not fussed. The minute they're roaming free, hes snapping them up! ?
