Lighting

The "normal" day length we tend to use is approximately 12 hours on, 12 off. Even though the cage is lighted internally, chams also react to the overall light level in a room or from windows. So, even if the lighting stays on longer your cham may still attempt to perch for the night after that day length given the choice. If you can't be home to turn lights on/off, just set them up on a timer. If you want the cham to be active later in the evening when you are home to watch, you could try skewing its daylength to start later in the mornings, but it will only work so far...the cham may still try to keep to its own internal schedule.
