Is my UVB or basking light too close?

Make sure your bulbs are regular incandescent bulbs. The ones that are flat bottomed and say basking or focused heat are more intense then a round based bulb.

Help today I bought an Arcadia golden sun 50w and it’s still too hot. It’s 87 degrees. I just moved Spyro’s enclosure more away from the window. Here’s to box.

I just turned off his basking light and his thermometer is reading this. It feels really hot in our house, I think our ac might be broken. Maybe that’s why it’s so hot on his thermometer when it’s on.
