light fixtures

I got a 48 incher from walmart... it was cheap and was not a darn direct wire it has a plug on it...

Yes nice post i am about to build a new cage and want to have the light set up correctly

How do you suggest placing the fixture on a flexarium? I'd be afraid of it burning a hole or something

If you're talking about a fixture for a UVB bulb, they do not get hot at all, maybe warm to the touch. The basking bulb could be a problem and would have to be place above the mesh not touching it. It's a good idea to have the basking light and UVB light separate. That way if they don't need the warmth and just want UVB they have it. Or if it's too warm under the UVB then they won't bask.

Yea i have noticed that the lights have been seperate on all the cages I've seen. Thank dretish
