Looking on ordering my t5 ho fixture. Just went unavailable as I was going to purchase. Can anyone let me know what quad fixture they have? ( I will be removing and attaching a uvb bulb)

Hello! I ordered this one for my Jackson's enclosure but ended up sending it back because it arrived all smashed. It would take up a lot of space on the top of your enclosure and its a bit heavy but it would work just fine as far as size goes :)

Just like @elizaann2 said it takes up a lot of space and you need to make sure you still have space for you heat lamp on top. Unless you raise the heat lamp because it can’t fit but the light and warmth still goes through to your basking branch.

When I set up our enclosure I used a quad light fixture, the 2 ft length that fits exactly on top of the enclosure. After a month and a half I’ve decided to take it off and use Arcadia UV and jungle dawn. I have no problem providing light for plant and uv using the quad light, it is just too bulky on top of the enclosure. The quad light fixture was shown in one of Chameleon Academy’s videos.

Can you pass me the links for what you purchased ? Thank you for your information

Hi there I have used a few different quads... I now use single fixtures. The quads can be great if you are raising them up off the cage top. Like if you have a rack system that your cage sits on with the shelf also above the cage. Because then the heat can escape more. Otherwise you push a lot of heat into an enclosure. Single fixtures I think are better because you are able to control them on different smart plugs and you can space them out if they sit directly on the cage top. I use arcadia products. They just came out with their Lumenize lights as well. You can do more of a slow lights on and off with these ones vs on then off.
If I was just getting my lights I would go with the Lumenize version Arcadia just came out with. Here are links for you. All of these are sized for a 24 inch wide cage.

Wow thank you first and foremost! What exactly is the different between regular or the lunemize bar?

The brand is Hydrofarm and it is in Amazon (currently unavailable).

The Lumenize is the new Arcadia type of lighting that simulate the dawn and dusk sun brightness like the ones used in aquarium industry.

The Lumenize bars mimic the sun rise and sun set. They are really really awesome. If I didn't JUST buy all new lights for my enclosures in November I would be buying these for all my enclosures.

Exactly what @elizaann2 posted above for you. You can find out more here too https://www.arcadiareptile.com/

The main thing is the regular fixtures that I linked that are not lumenize are simple on/off. They stay the same brightness the entire time. Lumenize works with an app on your phone. You are able to actually to a slow lights on and a slow lights off. More like dawn and dusk. It is a more natural lighting approach.

And if I did not already have far too much into my lighting I would too switch to their new products for the dawn/dusk effect.

I think of it this way... It is the difference in me being in bed and all of my bedroom lights kicking on vs a nightlight and gradual lights on. lol I would much rather have the gradual as I think there is nothing worse than being woken up from bright lights :hilarious:

I’m trying to find some feedback on these new LumenIZE

i am trying to find some product reviews online for these items specifically listed. Since they are newish I wanna make sure they are suitable and have correct outputs for my panther chameleon

Here is something that may help you.

I have heard only good things. If you have a solarmeter 6.5 to check your UVB output you can use it with these new T5's as well.

If you are worried about it you can get the same things @Beman recommended just without the Luminize technology. The Arcadia brand is really great and they sell hood/light sets so you don't need to worry about things fitting. Just make sure you order the 6% UVB light.

@MikeyBen - Did you end up getting these lights?
