Light fixture

Hi, i'm having a hard time to find a good fixture for my lights. So I guess I have to get something from exoterra or some other brand. Do you suggest I get a "Exoterra ramp Dual top"(pricey) or should I go with "exoterra light unit" and build a hood myself? Is their any danger by building the hood myself?

Thank you! Do you mean that you built a hood of aluminum or that you just used some aluminum end caps and then placed it on top of the Cage?

I use the Tropic Dawn LED lights in the standard hoods. They really impressed me.

One more thing, should I use two uvb or one uvb and one heat tube? And 5.0 or 10.0? The Cage is 24*24*48.

No one the 2 UVB just one will be fine some members use the 10.0 on the big cages but I never used one so I can't say anything on the subject you can ask on our site sponsors Todd from lightyoureptile.com he is awesome and will get you a awesome fixture but if you go with a dual light fixture get one 5.0 and if you have a live plants get a 6500k plant light and that will help if you are using live plants hope this helps
