Largest locale

So what locale do you guys think tends to run the largest in terms of weight and size? I know my Nosy Mitsio is much larger and heavier than my Nosy Faly. I havent weighed the faly in a while but when I weighed my Mitsio this week he was 178 grams and hes around 22". Lets get some weights and lengths I want to see whos got the biggest pardalis out there.:D

From my (limited) experience with panthers, Ambanjas seem to be the biggest. Ryan's Dr. Gonzo is downright massive.

I've seen some pretty teensy adult Nosy Be's and my female seems to have taken forever to reach "adult" size.

ive got a 23 inch male ampiskiana! he is originally a wild caught, so its hard to pack his fat pads and such for weight. length wise hes enormous and im sure if produced in captivity he would be atleast 24-25 inches

Keep em coming folks. Heres a pic of my beast of a mitsio. He orig was Goblin. But after having him and observing his personality hes had a name change to "HulK". So post more big panthers lets hear lengths and weight.

I've noticed that sambavas generally weigh a lot, though not always. I believe they grow for a lot longer than other locales.

Dr Gonzo has a bulge bigger than most panthers heads. Not sure how long he is but he has weighed in close to 240g. He also has a rostral that would make a parsons blush.

I measured and weighed my Nosey Be today and at barely 6 months he is almost 16 inches and weighs 138 grams.

I was under the impression that chams like other reptiles never stopped growing. Am I mistaken?

You are correct , they just slow down around 12 months of age. Sheds go from monthly to only a few a year.

yeah, my Splat just shed today and that's a first in months.

my Quadzilla (quad) on the other hand, sheds in parts all the time and has to be older then 2 years...maybe older then 3.

I meant the keep visibly growing for longer. All of them slow down at one point. My Sambava is very very small, so its probably just the luck of the draw along with lineage. I have seen two brother chameleons who were two totally different sizes. The smaller one (who was about half the size of his brother) was kept in a cage and the larger one (HUGE!) was free ranged from a young age. Perhaps that has something to do with it?

Hey Faceless your Ampiskiana is gorgeous. I've never really checked out that locale. He looks similar to a fired up Sambava in those pics. Def a big boy.

Ryan: that pic really shows how huge Dr G is. Ive never noticed in other pics of him how huge he is. I had ambanjas in the 90's but mine were nowhere near that large.

Come on ppl lets see some more
