Finally, all of the stars aligned just right and the universal cat distribution system allotted me 2 feline friends. I actually didn’t choose these cats - they chose me and the fates agreed and made it so. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get much info about their history, other than their previous human was a true cat lover and has passed away (I met them on a visit for work). Both are neutered males and very sweet and affectionate. They have been settling in to my home and adjusting to me very well. I was given conflicting info about their names. Since those I was given don’t feel natural and they don’t respond to any of them, they are now subject to my unimaginative naming. The grey one is now named Grey. Bet ya didn’t see that coming. 
No idea about the white one as ‘Sweetie’ is bad even for me. I’ll have to wait and see what sticks. I have Grey’s age and he’s 10. The other is possibly 7, but I’ll have to wait for the vet to confirm if that’s close…provided I can get him there. I had to cancel two appointments already due to not being able to get him even close to a carrier. 
Anyhow, it’s been too long that I’ve been without any cats in my life…had to wait until I was ready and trust the fates. There are some things that I just can’t go without and strangely, they all begin with C - coffee, Coca Cola, chocolate and cats. *cigarettes removed from list a few years ago.

Yes, his eyes are a bit wonky. Vision seems fine though.
But he has a heart on his side! Awww….
