Kevin @ Aquazamp!

So I had to expand my AquaZamp misting system due to the large enclosure that I picked up for Chazam. I communicated with Kevin @ Aquazamp and decided to just get an extension with one nozzle. Apparently there was an inventory issue and my shipment was slightly delayed. Kevin to the rescue! He made up for this by sending me 2 nozzles! Kevin, you sir, are the man!! :D Thank you so much!!

I do have a question: What is the piece on the top?

Excellent customer service and communication!!! :):D:)

It's a "Y" so you can split off one out going hose into two, for two cages (which is what I used it for) or two nozzles or???

Are those all the pc's you got with it. unless you are using a drip valve I think you are going to need at least one L fitting for the last nozzel.
just curious

I guess I'm confused? The line from the pump will connect to a "T", one end will go to a nozzle and the other end goes to a nozzle. Is this not correct?

EDIT **I guess the line from the pump should connect to the "Y"...

The "T"s in your photo, one end is a male and the other two ends are female so you can only stick a hose into the female ends. the other end plugs into the back side of the nozzle but it's ment to hook-up multiple nozzles. The last nozzel in the system (or if you're only using one nozzle) needs an "L" not a "T"

The "Y", has three female, one hose in, two hoses out.

Edit: Yes, a line coming out of the discharge side of your pump to the "Y" then two hoses coming out of the discharge side of the "Y". You don't have to use that "Y" at all btw. You can come off the pump straight to a nozzle with a "T" continue to another nozzle (the last one) and use an "L".

Well, if he is expanding he would already have an elbo right? Just needs the expanding T units. I actually don't use any L pieces on my 14 nozzle system.

Yes, the elbow is connected to the pump...

So you take a line out of the pump and into the first nozzle that has a T fitting, then out of the other side of the T fitting you go to the next nozzle with a T fitting....and when you get to the last nozzle in your group you put the L fitting on that nozzle;)

Still confused. Here is a crude setup just to show you guys what I was thinking: line from the pump goes to the splitter. Two lines come out from the splitter to each nozzle.

Why would I need the "T's" or the "L"??

Typically you don't run the pipe straight into the heads because of the flex it puts on them (which causes failure and leaks). You don't NEED the Y at all unless your cages are in totally different parts of the room...and even then I don't think you need it.

Like I mentioned before run from pump into the first nozzle with a T on top of it...then from the other side of the T fitting run to the next nozzle with a L fitting in it and you are done! Easy peasy. If you add another cage at some point just put the other T in the end cage and move the L to the new end cage.

Ahhhhh, I think I finally get what you're saying. Theoretically, my plan could work, but it's the stress issue I need to be worried about.

I only have one L and it's connected at the pump...Is this a piece I can pick up @ the local level? Thanks!

Should be able to at Ace hardware or lowe's HD...or run straight out of the pump

Unless you have the drip valve then the last nozzle has the T Connector as the line then runs to the drip valve. That is how mine is setup so I do not use any L connectors.

Yes, I understand that... and mentioned that already but trying to not cause any more confusion. And that is a MistKing thing not an AquaZamp thing;)
