Juvenile Chameleon not basking

I know I sound very paranoid. I’ve only had my little one for 5 hours now but I want to make sure everything is okay as a noob chameleon mum. My Juvenile chameleon (3 months old) has been put in his new vivarium. He’s eating, he’s drinking, but he doesn’t seem to have gone to the basking spot at all yet. Is this okay? Thank you!

In 5 hours, yes it is normal. If he is not cold, and curious or scared he wont head straight for basking.

So is it safe to assume all in good time? I can imagine a new place must be scary for him but I’m just worried he might deprive himself for too long.

What's the temperature in the basking area? The rest of the cage?

I have a microclimate dimming ministat to maintain it between 28c and 31c. (Not sure what that is in F. I’m from the UK?) the enclosure is mesh so it ranges from about 22c to 25c outside the basking spot depending on room temp. He is going up to sit under the UVB bulb, just haven’t seem him basking.
