just ordered a panther from LLL Reptiles!!!!!

what if they say that cant tell if any are male then what should i do? i really want a male nosy be.ughh

What people need to remember about price... is that the lower it goes the chances of it being 'good' get less. Now this isn't really a rule... but sort of a way to judge the person selling. You should think 'why is it so cheap?'. A low price could mean, the person has no clue.... so how well do you think they care for the animal while they raised it up? It could mean, they just wanna clear out stock, not a bad thing, but you should ask why. Another indicator of a good price is that the person selling isn't really sure of the animal's origins or at least can't prove what it will look like, such is the case of LLL. I know that LLL buys from some good breeders, but because they are competative with pricing you see low prices. I have never purchased a cham from them, so I can't say how the chams they sell turn out.

Bottom line, worst case scenario... the cham dies on you. Next could be that you are buying a runt. after that, sure.. you don't know EXACTLY what the cham will look like... but to me, part of the fun in raising up babies is that you get to see them mature and grow into the colors..... and BTW... chams are just cool looking, so even if the bars aren't perfect or the colors are kinda "odd" it isn't like boutique breeders can really expect every cham they sell to turn out like the siblings and parents.

Breeding isn't faximile.

is a $140 nosy be not good....:(

If it ends up looking the way you want it to then it's very, very good. And what better way to test the *cough* purity of the lines than with a male Nosy Be?

I'm going up tomorrow morning for a cage so will definitely take a look at the Nosy Be(bies).

chicago illinois, if thinking about the shipping and cold weather, i told lllreptile to ship him/her to fedex location so it stays warm.;)

I don't wanna take the sale away from LLL... but if you REALLY want a male maybe you can look up 'chams01' on the forum and ask her if she has any nosy bes? she is local to you... won't have to ship...

i just talked to cham101 and bought a nosy be male and canceled the order with LLL reptile. thank you pssh. eric from cham 101 is great.:D:D:D

Well, I am a little jealous. I saw the $5 shipping fee too but we are in subzero temps right now and we won't be here for xmas. I do have a housesitter coming in but there are so many other critters to maintain that trying to acclimate a new one could push things over the top. On another note, sorry a little off topic. I ordered crickets from lll Monday and they are generally in by Thursday. I haven't received a call to come pick up. Does anyone know if they are on weather alert shipping now?

Chameleons101.com I bought my sambava female from them a couple weeks ago. Eric Thompson and Mike Webb run the site together.

Let's clear one thing up:

We ABSOLUTELY NEVER dropship animals. Sorry. There are some out there in a big city on the east coast that might do that. But we ABSOLUTELY NEVER dropship animals. Ever. Never.

Hope that is crystal clear! Your panther chameleon would have abslolutely been hand picked from our Oceanside store, by our staff, that we take care of ourselves.

I find it really funny that someone on here would even speculate at that. That is serious stuff when you say something that is so, so far from the truth. Something to keep in mind.... About any business at any time. Be sure before you speak, especially on the internet!

As for buying elsewhere - totally up to you. No hard feelings. Just irritates me to see someone talking out of there... well, fill in the blank. Beyond irritating. We get our panthers mostly from a very specific breeder that people on this site absolutely love. Somethin to keep in mind. They are plump, well started guys too, and we have been getting them from mainly the same source for many years now.

The $5 dollar shipping expired on Friday guys. But we do have one more holiday sale, and we have a huge in-store sale going this weekend and next weekend, so if you are in So-Cal, stop by and save a ton!

Thanks again for the logical ones on here who know better. Dropshipping... Who would do that? You don't even get to see the animal someone else is shipping for you... I think we drop-shipped feeder anoles a few times. LOL. Take care - happy holidays!

Absolutely DMaizer. I PM'd the person who posted that. And no hard feelings - they just got bad information and it needs to be cleared up.

Look - I always see people with opinions on our stuff. We sell a lot of animals, and have been in business a while. But over the almost 15 years of business, we have made a lot of really good breeder friends. So most of our panthers come from one of the best breeders in the country. Our leopard geckos - same thing. Our boas, our pythons, our poison arrow frogs, and on and on. We want to offer the best. Our employees also breed some stuff for us. Even the WC stuff we carry - we don't get from what I consider to be below average dealers either. You can weed those people out pretty quick.

Lots of people don't realize - we got in this just like everyone else. We bred Leopard Geckos! LOL. We were one of the first breeders of Leucistic Leopard geckos in the country. We love the business, love our animals. AND WE DON'T DROP-SHIP! :)

Thanks again. We sponsor this site because this site has been good to us, and has a good group of people. Happy Holidays!

I agree, I think dropshipping live animals is a horrible idea. Not only for the buyer but for the seller as well. If the animal comes in bad shape the seller gets a bad rep and they didnt even produce the animal.

I love LLL :) their black friday sale was awesome. We got 2 incubators and a $100 gift card for $80 so we can save $20 in the future.

I would like to say that 2 years ago I ordered a pair of veiled off of lllreptile and I was completely satisfied the animals were very healthy. The female was a veiled with a veileds personality but the male was the coolest reptile I've ever owned. I've got a 200 dollar gift certificate coming for christmas from lll and I can't wait to get a baby sambava!
