Just lost a dear friend...

Last nite. She was riding her motorcycle and lost control, just four houses down from her house. She wasn't wearing a helmet. Please, please be careful and watch for others on the road and if you ride a bike, please wear your helmet.

That's shocking. So sorry you lost your friend.

Thanks y'all. It's a rough one. She leaves behind a 14yr old son and was just remarried a year ago...

Max, I am so sorry you lost your friend. Leaving behind a son and new husband, who will both miss her so much.

Any time I see someone killed on a bike while not wearing a helmet, it makes me so sad at such a waste. I would love riding without a helmet and that is legal in Montana, but I would not chance it. I am really sad that your friend did.

Im so sorry you lost your friend!

We just lost a family friend to a motorcycle accident. He was wearing a helmet but he was on the freeway. His wife walked away with only a couple of broken ribs.

Damn.. I'm so sorry you lost a friend Max... Your totally right about the helmet thing. I'll keep the family in my thoughts and prayers.

Max, I feel your pain as my neice lost her fiancee over 7 years ago to a motorcycle accident. He was just about 100 feet from turning into his apartment complex and a young girl pulled out infront of him. He was not wearing a helmet and was thrown over the car and died within a matter of minutes. they had just got engaged the night before. It was very tragic for our family as he was a great guy and we all loved him dearly. Sorry for your loss.

Thanks everybody. Her family has shown up and arrangements are being made. They'll have visitation tomorrow. Losing friends and/or loved ones never gets easier, does it? :(

No, it doesn't and you have to hope that it never does, because that means that either we are losing our connection to humanity, or that something so tragic has happened in the world that we are just numb to loss. I'm so sorry that you lost your friend this way. :(

I am so deeply sorry to hear about the tragic loss of your friend. My heart goes out to all who knew and love her.

I myself have a motorcycle and spend all but the coldest months riding it. It is not a law in Indiana to wear a helmet. However I always do. Even on the hottest of days when I know it would feel so much better to have wind in my hair rather then sweat dripping I still wear my helmet. I just don't want to take a chance but that is my choice.

That's a good choice to wear a helmet all that ride bike should wear them to. There are just to many idiots that don't watch the roads carefully like there suppose to.
And again I'm very sorry for your loss.
