I watched Ivy sneak down to the bottom of the schefflera, figured she was exploring or pooping, but no, she snagged a dead leaf, little baggage. Then she had the nerve to turn black, puff up, hiss and BITE ME when I tried to pull it from her mouth. And she must have grown because it actually HURT. Maxttu, can I borrow your glove?

Think she's overdue for an enclosure clear-out and rearranging, but I might need to go and get changed first, I'm assuming she wasn't keen on my black and grey tie-dyed dress. She probably assumed I was pissed at her!

I am telling you, I have a couple chams who swear more that I do!!!!! Rotten ungrateful little creatures.

Speak sternly to Ivy, and she might listen.

Touché! And yes. Coffee vodka isn't very nice. But I like birthday cake vodka.

She just said it's my nail polish that freaked her out.

I just saw my Panther eating a big mouthful of dirt.. I had rocks covering the dirt but I found him gnawing loudly on those (scary).. Think I will have to put the rocks back on and secure them with some type of netting.. Everything is complicated with these guys!

When Ringo is in the window he puffs up and tries biting me. I've also noticed today that if I don't look at him (or he doesn't see me looking at him) he won't act like a stick!

Well I have a veiled named Gordon who moves his misting nozzles every day to face straight down and every time I go into fix them he comes running hissing and snapping at me.
He never is friendly but sure does get pissed when I undo his work.

Had to resort to The Stick when I'd finished cleaning her enclosure and it was time to get her off the window screen... gave her a wodge of crickets along with some rogue dubia I found while cleaning. Think she may forgive me.

Are those little butterflies on your nails? And you wonder why she bit you  If I did that to my nails then Jasmine would probably redouble her efforts to get me in her mouth...........

Haha! That lil stinker!! Gloves come pretty cheap, but if you're in a pinch, I can loan it to ya! :D

I must say, that is pretty darn funny. :D

Glad to see that I'm not the only one getting attitude from the little ones! LOL

At least Ivy seems to have a reason to attack! Bugs on your nails AND a blk/wht tie-dye? You do like to live dangerously! :)

My lovely Ivy was a nice shade of pink today, so I took my life in my hands and picked her up! She was reluctant to let go of her vine, but stepped on my fingers with a little encouragement. No hissing, no puffing! Just turned a slightly darker shade of pink. And she ate an adult female dubia, chewing carefully. My baby is growing up!

Aww, it is always good to see them grow up:) Even if it does make you teary.

She looks great Ellie! I am glad she is doing so well with you. Its funny how some females will be so willing to get on your hand one day and will bite the next. Who knew females could be so unpredictable :p

try getting bit from a meller's now that hurts! i had my meller cham bite me by mistake i was feeding her and the food was on my finger and she went for it and got my finger instead and chomped on it.. it did not feel good! worst part was she could care less it was my finger and still tried to eat it i had to pull it out of her mouth haha shes never been aggressive but i can officially say shes bit me before and it hurts.
