Jackson's vs. Veiled

Dear Chameleon Forums,

I have recently taken interest in buying a Jackson's chameleon. I know how to care for a veiled and all of its needs, but i was wondering if a Jackson's needed anything extra or required different care than i veiled in any way. Any advice would help, thanks.

They are easy, as long as you are consistant. For Jackson's Chameleons, they require more water, and cooler temperatures. Here are some links that you can read that have great information about them and their needs.

imo most jackson's (xanths)are sweethearts compared to most veileds . they like cooler, wetter enviroments and a substantial drop in nightime temps, they can be more sensitive to surrounding factors like people or being bothered, many will dispute, but imo they need a little less supplementation than veileds and are a little less tolerant of things not being to their liking. hunger strikes and cage crawling can be a little more of an issue with xanths. jmo
