So my house is only about 60-62f with the furnace going, the boys basking spots are only hitting 70. Will they be ok or should I get more heat for them some how?

He should be fine. He might not be happy, but he will be fine. He can bask if he gets cold. Don't be surprised if he's slow and doesn't want to eat. If you can get a larger bulb wattage, that might raise his basking spot up a few degrees.

The super deep cold should ease up soon! It was -27F when I left KC yesterday morning. It's -11F in Saskatchewan right now. Fun!

How about a space heater? Would that help? It's cold here, too. :( The sliding back door is frozen shut.

There were crickets in Omar's new hanging feeder overnight and I came home to either a failed escape plan or a huddle! There was a pyramid of about six crickets going up the side of the container!

It's 7degrees here.... There are tiny icicles hanging from the metal window frames inside my house,, there is sooo much condensation from our reef tanks.... It's just that cold here.. All chams and kitties see warm though... :) everyone be safe!!!

We have had windchill warnings here all week already. -30C to -36C temperatures alone and with windchill it's been -40 to -50 some days. The heaters in my place seem to be keeping up but near the walls you can feel the draft coming off them. I have my guy in a different room than normal right now so he's on an inside wall.

The power flickered on and off the past couple days and started getting my mind going on how I can prepare better in case of a power outtage. Because as of now - if the power failed...he would be in trouble.

Stay warm!
