Alright so I have only had my chameleon since April and have learned so much, but I don’t think I’ve read much on chameleon keeping during the winter time. I know the proper temps the room should be in but I live with my sister and I can’t run an oil heater in the back of the house or else the electricity bill will be insane. I worry about daytime ambient temperatures in the near future. The last few weeks his basking temp is fine but the heat doesn’t travel down too much and the lower part of the enclosure is at like 68-70° and the upper part will get around 71-73ish. I’ve had to turn the fan on top down really low so it doesn’t suck out all the heat lol. It’s gonna get even colder so I expect his temps to be struggling. I’ll probably swap out my 50w for a 75w so it pumps out more heat into the enclosure. Anyone have some experience or tips that may help me maintain healthy husbandry for the colder months (6 months where I live
) Thanks in advance everyone I appreciate y’all.
