I just got my pather 2 days ago and he likes to crawl on the roof of the cage but twice I seen him go under the heat lamp where it is very very hot and it looks like it was to hot for him and let go after a few seconds thank god he only fell about 5 inches where he landed on some plants . How do I stop rhis so he does not hurt himself

You need to raise the light up so the heat is not so intense. I don't keep panthers but I'm pretty sure it needs to be a max of about 90-95 were he can bask. Buy a thermometer and adjust the light until you get the temp right.

The temp in tha nasking area is fine it just the metal sceen that getting super hot because it retains heat

Raise the light off the screen if you have it laying against it. If the basking spot gets too cold at that point I recommend raise the basking branch high to achieve the correct temperature.

I raised the light and the branch

Your cage does look a little empty, add a schefflera or ficus because that could also save him from falling, raises humidity, and look great.
