Incubating media mosture level questions

I have a clutch of panthers incubating currently in a tupperware container.

My questions:

How do you check the moisture level of the incubating media when there are eggs in the container? Do you go by humidity level? What are prefered humidity levels.

I currently have them in a warm spot, and will move them to a cooler spot in about a month and a half and after that will move them back to the warmer spot.

Kevin, I'm no expert but I moist the medium to the point that when you squeeze it and barley any water comes out. Ours stay around 48-50. Then we keep track of the weight of the container, weiging it occasionally adding moisture as necesry.... Hope this helps.
