Hi all! It is with sad news that our baby girl, Chamilia Starehardt, has passed on to the other side. I wanted to share with you all that she lived a beautiful, long, healthy life of almost 6 full years! Since female veiled chameleons typically only live around 3–5 years, she pushed right past that mark almost to 6! She is so deeply missed and was the most beautiful girl. Fly high girly!💚🪽

Ohhh…I’m so very sorry. 🥺😢 She was a very beautiful lady and it’s wonderful to know that she was with you for almost 6 years. It’s clear that you gave her an amazing care and her best life. May your sweet (maybe a bit sassy too?) lady enjoy the bountiful juicy bugs and sky high hibiscus bushes of heaven. (((💗)))

I'm sorry for your loss. Almost six years with a female veiled is a real testament to the husbandry you gave her, especially since so many don't come close to that. The sky-high hibiscus and endless juicy bugs image is a lovely way to think of her. I'm in Denver, where the winters make keeping humidity steady a chore, so I'm always curious how long-term keepers manage it. Was there anything in her routine you'd point to as the biggest factor in her longevity?
