I'm slowly killing him...

Just to make this a complete thread..

I tried raising the pot up off the bottom of the cage and it stopped dropping leaves.. immediately.

I may try the plant grow light thing too..but I thought let everyone know that it stopped dropping leaves the day after I raised it up.

Thanks guys!!

You know I had the same problem, and I thought that the misting sessions during the day were enough to water it, but as soon as I watered the plant, the next day it looked brand new!

I use a slightly different method that does the same thing:

When repotting, I put a "false bottom" with very small holes floated 1"-2" off the bottom of the pot. some pots have built in supports or a shelf, if not, just use some blocks. on top of the false bottom put some type of cloth/material that will allow the water but not the soil to pass through(like a coffee filter). This will allow the soil to drain and not become over saturated.
