i went to the anderson repticon and was suprised to find they had panthers, velied, ouslots, and a few more diffrent species. i was walking around when i saw nine little brown lumps with all their little eyes closed. i asked the guys if they were temps and he said they were pygmy leaf chams. i ended up buying a pair. their wc. my female is gravid and my male is younger than her because he's littler. my male has a big tail and the female has a skinny one but shes fat from eggs. i got them yesterday and their drinking like crazy and looking wayyy better already :) i dont really know what kind they are so i'll post some pics so ya'll can help me with their care. i also bought calciworms, butterworms, and larger fruit flys. OH! and i hatched out some mantis ^^ lucky i got fruit flys but i havent seen them eat them :(

ps- clair and chloe are doing gr8

jack is on the left and jill on the right. their is two of jack so you can see his face and thick tail.--they look like spectrums to me.

Nice pick ups!! I love pygmies. I am of no help with care or species identification sorry. But I am not sure they should be given peppermints :D;)

they are sooooo cute!!! im glad you didnt have to wait until after christmas to get them :) did i hear babbyyyy chams might be coming :0 exciting!

Those are Rhampholeon spectrum. Sorry I can't help with specifics in their care, but I would assume they are similar to other East African Pygmy Chameleons. You may want to pm Danny(Lizardlover) and Chris Anderson(I think he has experience with this species?) to ask about specifics.

thankyou :) i already love them

Congrats on your cute little ones. They are adorable.

thanks :D

yep, Rhampholeon spectrum. I kept mine at low temps. 70-74F tops. try to keep the humidity high. they come from camaroon or Fernando Po Island.

mine liked two week old crickets, baby roaches, houseflys, and young mantid nymphs.
they don't normaly live long and it's best to buy a pair or trio to breed right away and have eggs for you to then realy start your hobbie with them.

I wish you a lot of luck and if you run into too many extras, just PM me.

thats awsome. thankyou for the info. i've been keeping tham at no higher than 72 and the humidity about 70-80% misting when i see a drop to 60% ^^ i'd love to traade out with you for gene swaps when i get an established colonie going. if my female doesnt make it i plan to cut out her eggs and get a new female. she seems to have perked up a tid but more today but i know the odds are slim. she she servives i'll post what i did to keep her alive for other pygmy keepers.
