I have a few questions about my new calyptratus

If its not light being left on, or lights that are too bright, I really wouldnt wait, as all other possiblities are serious issues:eek:

Seeing her eyes, even asleep, would be great, but awake preferably.

Is there anything at all that seems "off" about her, other than shutting the eyes?

What is she housed in?

Currently I have her in a 12 inch by 12 inch exo-terra. She is my first chameleon so I'm pretty ashamed and embarrassed to say I don't know what off behavior would be....

Lol, no reason for that kind of talk! ;)

Just trying to cover as many bases as possible ;)

Just your personal opinion, if anything seemed "funny" to you I guess.

Discolorations, or swelling anywhere, things that would be an indicator of a health issue with any animal.

Enclosure should be fine for her age.

Really need pics at this point:eek:

Nope no swelling, bent or disfigured back or jaw, no swollen legs, or discoloration. She changes colors just fine. she even does the little dance while walking it's so cute. :D I'll have to post a few pictures up tomorrow but I'm heading to bed right now I'm so friggin tired. lol

I got her up this morning and she is very active. :D She is climbing around all the little branches in her cage and she is looking for the flies I put in her cage. :)

Sooo it's a really nice day todday it's probably around the 70's to 80's and I was thinking about taking Kaida's cage outside but I was wondering if you think she is to young to be outside.

These are the pictures of Kaida. :D

Hello, welcome to the forum to you and little Kaida :) That's a proper baby Chameleon! Everyone worries a lot about their first Cham, but she looks good. She's never too young to go outside for a while, but of course you need to make sure she's in a secure enclosure all the time.
It's usually best to let her settle into her new house for at least a week before you take her out to play though :)

Okay. :D thanks for all the help guys. She ha her eyes open most of the time when the UVB light is on but it friggin burnt out yesterday and I literally bought it two days ago (I'm going back to the store today or tomorrow to exchange it). But I took her outside and she came to life she was climbing all over me and her eyes where open and looking around. The wind almost blew her over though to I took her back inside it was so cute!!! lol :D Also she seems to run from me when I spray her cage down is that normal...?
