It average around 40 to 70 an a valid maleWhat is your humidity level and what type of Chameleon do you have?
Ok well a Veiled should only have an ambient humidity level of 30-50% max during the day. You do not want it sitting all day above 50%.It average around 40 to 70 an a valid male
So pretty much 30 to 50 ? I read deft in an article sayin valid should be kept in 50 to 70 hightesOk well a Veiled should only have an ambient humidity level of 30-50% max during the day. You do not want it sitting all day above 50%.
That article is wrong. Those would be numbers that a Panther would do well in not a Veiled. So pretty much 30 to 50 ? I read deft in an article sayin valid should be kept in 50 to 70 hightes
Yes...So 30 to 50 tops ?
when misting the cage what should the humidity reach?Yes...
how long should i mist it? how long should the spiked % remain after misting?Normally after misting the cage may spike to 60-70.. but it should remain 30-40 for most of the day.
Smart idea might actually do this^^^^^ exactly what @Ares05 said.
I do not mist during the day when my heat lamp is on. I have a long mist in the morning before lights are on and then 2 more an hour after I kick off the basking fixture so the temps lower in the cage. Only lighting on at that point is my T5HO fixture. The last misting happens right before my T5 kicks off to kick my night time humidity up. I follow this pretty closely https://www.chameleonbreeder.com/podcast/ep-89-naturalistic-hydration-for-chameleons/
Listen to that podcast link by Bill Strand it goes through it in depth.Smart idea might actually do this
