how often are veileds receptive?

My female veiled "Dragon" laid an infertile clutch of 42 eggs mid May this year

she about 10 months to a year old now and she shes showing the blue receptive colors again... so my question is do they really cycle every 2-3 months or so?

The more you feed, the more eggs she will lay. 42 is a lot and she isn't adult yet with ten months, so you should reduce feeding now. I know some restrictive fed and very good kept calyptratus females which didn't lay eggs for years.

Here's some great info on keeping a female veiled. I'd lower her temps and cut back on the food now. I feed my adult female 3 times a week about 3 to 6 feeders each time depending on size and large worms just one. I keep her basking spot at 80 to 81.

When not mated they can lay eggs every 120 to 130 days....but they don't always lay them that often. I know that doesn't really answer your question directly....but that's how many days the hormone cycle seems to be.
