How Long till he gets used to his new home?

Today I got my first Panther.
I was wondering how long till he gets used to his new home, so I can do a photo shoot type things.

not every chameleon will acclimate at the exact same time as another so it is hard to say. Some can take weeks to get comfortable in their surroundings. I would just give him some space for a week or so and see how he is reacting to you.

Yea, some take a couple days or over a week to settle in. For example, I just got a new panther and 4 days later he is still not eating in his new cage, so I know that he still needs a few more days to get used to the cage itself, the room, and my dogs and I walking around occasionally. While I've had others that ate from me the same hour as being introduced to their cage, so every individual is different.

how is your guy doing? Franklin right? My guy was very skiddish yesterday and black almost all day. he was very stressed from the shipping. He still ate and drank fine. But after a nice nights rest, this morning he is doing great. no more dark colors and he ate and drank as soon as lights came on this morning. Hes already showing some amazing blues, greens, reds, and peaches. I couldnt be happier with him. Im sure he will brighten up even more as the days pass. Hope his little brother is doing great!!!

that's great news deven! these guys are still young and they will explode w/ color as they get older. i'm so glad you two are very happy w/ your babies. yay!!!!

Same with Franklin, he was black all day yesterday and now blues, greens,and reds. Franklin loves the water!
