I there welcome to the forum.
Where are you getting the cage? LLL reptile usually has the best prices. I have never seen a cage that is 30x16.5x48. I guess it would work, the 16.5 is sort of small. I would do the 24x24x48. They are very popular on the forum. If you will post pictures of your set up and your chameleon, we can critique both for you. Welcome to chameleon keeping, it is pretty addictive.

no offense but i did have specs of the cham on first page, and i am purchasing through lll thanks to the great people on this forum.
the 24x24 is also on that site, and i thought 16.5 was small also
the cham is either 4.5 or 5 months old, this is for sure, i've lost the sheet where it said her age though, so i need to verify for my own personal logs

No offense taken. I saw the spec's but we are all nuts about pictures. Just wait soon you will think it is normal to be looking a poop to see how someone else's chameleon is doing. Pictures are apart of life here. But always remember you do whatever you want. We are fine with it.

yeah i dont have a camera seeing how i hate pictures of myself lol. i'll borrow someone's camera and see what i can do, so cham and enclosure?

im using as my baby cage but i personally wouldnt get it as my permanent cage. it has a zipper. i would save a little extra $ and get the aluminum one with a door. it will be a good investment.
