how I use carrots to help the crickets get there liquids

It is very simple to set up, get a 1"x3" piece of pine or poplar. Screw a 2 inch long screw through the back side of the wood. About 1 1/4 inches will be sticking out the front of the wood. Break the carrots in half (if you leave them to long they tend to bend in half) Now push the carrot into the screw.

I have learned this gives the crickets more of the diameter of the carrot to eat, also the carrots do not go bad as fast.

I sprinkle cricket food around the carrots and put the egg crates on the opposite side. Heating pad is on a timer and goes on at night only. Helps them stay alive longer.
