So I just got my chameleon from pets smart but they don't know if he is female or male any tips? I know he just grew and he's shedding skin I don't know what that means

i would assume a veiled as it came from pet smart, but with big box stores they could sell a parsonii and call it a panther

Need to get the poops checked give it lots of water make sure it's hydrogenated give it space to get use to its new home

Thank you for all of your help. Yes I have a veiled chameleon I've had him for a week now and he's starting a routine now so very happy that he likes it here I do keep him very hydrated I usually mist the cage about seven times or more. For right now I'm feeding him mealworms and crickets I'm thinking about getting roaches. I will post a photo of him once he gets use to me I little more I can tell he trusts me a little bit but when I hand feed him at first he's not sure

One question how do you feed your chameleon crickets? Do you let them out in the cage or do you hand feed them I dong know

I like to use my special reptile tongs. Sorry to complete the echo but i would suggest doing more research.
