I have a 2 year old panther chameleon the last few months he’s had his growing on him he seems perfectly fine in himself not in any pain exactly the same as he always has been what are your guys thoughts on what it is. I can’t afford a vet visit but if I really have to I could figure something out (before and after photo)

I know you said you do not have money for a vet but at this point this is what I am going to recommend. that is a very large growth. And if that is a few months in between pics then it has a fast growth rate. It could have been something as simple as a insect bite that got infected. Or it could be something more.

You need a really good reptile vet to take a look at this and provide next steps for treatment. They may biopsy first to see what is inside the growth. There is no way for us to id this for you.
You could apply for care credit. It is accepted at most vets offices. This is what I have for emergency and illness for my animals.
