Hand Feeding Success

I'm glad to announce that my Kirby is finally hand feeding :D. I feel like it is a huge accomplishment because at first she was scared of my hand and would run away. Now she looks forward to whatever is between my fingers. Our relationship has grown to new levels ;)

A few action shots....sorry for the quality.

Congrats! I got my boy Thumper when he was only 2 months old and had hand fed him and he loves to be held....most of the time:p

Thanks.... I wonder how many people out there hand feed?

1 vote for that hand feeding tally!

I remember how excited I was the first time I held (and hand fed) Yoshi. He really is a very social (sometimes too social) cham, especially for a veiled, and has never been aggressive towards me. Glad to hear you and your little girl are getting along! :)

Glad to hear you've had some success! My Cham hand feeds atleast a few insects everyday then I usually just free range the rest. It's great showing people who arent familiar with chameleons. Whenever I hand feed my cham it's always great to see people's reactions!

Nasir still despises my hand when there isn't a cricket on it but lately I've been able to lure him onto my arm when I entice him with a feeder. Really makes the stressful step of getting the Cham out of the cage that much easier.

For anyone asking for techniques on how to "tame" a high stress cham or monitor or some super speedy wall climbing lizard. the best way to get them to come around is with
food.
I love hand feeding!
