My adult male panther suffered a superficial burn from a halogen bulb.He doesnt seem to be in any discomfort but there is some noticeable discoloration. Is this a vet thing or will it heal on its lonesome. Also, any recommendations on lotions, etc. Thanx

Can you post a pic of your cage setup, bulb placement and the suspected burn on your cham. In terms of ointment, you can apply antibacterial neosporin, to prevent possible infection. If the burn penetrated through any layers of skin (if there is an absence of scales, reddish or pink fleshy area) it is important that you get to the vet. If the burn is serious, the vet will most clean it out, cover it with a sterile dressing and then provide you with a topical ointment (most likely silvadene) to prevent infection.

Post some pics, burns aren't usually a huge issue. You might want to put some Polysporin on there, should do the trick.
