Gibson Guitars importing illegal wood from Madagascar.

Just ran across this. Never heard about it. Never was a Gibson fan. Good tone but way too uncomfortable to play.

That's pretty disgusting. The point for me is...they KNEW the wood was protected and illegal but bought it anyway and are STILL trying to get it whether they end up being sentenced, fined, or acquitted. The tone, appearance, etc doesn't matter. Their leadership committed to using sustainable products but another department made the deal and supported international smuggling.
