Hey guys just thought I'd share how excited I am to be meeting my Jackson's down in Denver tomorrow!! :D:D:D But I REALLY need to ask just a few questions to make sure I'm doing things right...

How much should I feed him and what should I supplement with? No one has been answering me and now is the time so PLEASE don't be shy!!! Also name ideas would be great!! Here's the little guy--

Just wanted to say its a nice looking jacksons

Personally I'd pass on that one. His eyes, horns and overall coloration do not look good. He looks dehydrated and obviously has not been kept properly by looking at the picture of his cage.

Use the search function as there has been 100's of posts on Jackson care. Please do you research so your Jackson doen't become another statistic.

559 posts in less than a month! Omg that's crazy:D

Good luck.

That's what I had thought, personally I think I'm giving him a way better home. Yeah haha I bet half of those are all little extra comments that I added in... I probably talk more than I need to.

He also has swelling on his wrist and doesn't look healthy. jmo

Alright. I'll look him over tomorrow and see how he looks, might pass on this guy but I don't want him to keep getting sick either :( I let the guy know.

EDIT: The reason I asked you guys how he looked was for this reason. I have done research as well, but the supplementation and feeding is a touchy subject. I have many different types as well for my veiled.

I agree with the others. He doesn't look healthy. The swollen wrists, broken horn and dehydration let you know he hasn't been taken care of. Probably hasn't been supplemented right either.

I said no... :(

Yes, it's hard enough to take care of them when they are healthy.

Haha no joke. This makes me a little sad, but grateful. Thank you all so much for confirming my slight worries, and experts I appreciate your help. Thank you... I will be looking for a male Jackson's for a good price, I don't know if any of you can help me with that, but I will be looking.

They guy said he bought him that way cause it looked cute, but obviously I'm passing on this one.

The guy had no idea. He REALLY wants to know what he can do (obviously vet), and he is super concerned and will not sell him if he is sick. So you guys have seriously done me and this guy a favor, please tell me anything else he needs to know.

If you were here in Hawaii you could get one for about $15. Sorry I had to rub it in. But yeah I agree with the others he does not look well so I would pass. Don't worry you will find the right one. And make sure you read that care sheet blog link I posted in your other thread. That has all the info you need for supplementation.
