I came home from work today and saw Ripley sitting on her sleeping branch with her mouth open. I've never seen her doing that before. I checked her mouth, it looked perfectly fine. She hissed at me, and the sound was usual.
There was another unusual thing: the humidity was lower than 10%
I sprayed her for good 5 min, and she hasn't opened her mouth since.
It got pretty cold over here, so the heating comes on quite a lot and it gets very dry. My partner wasn't home for the whole day too, so nobody sprayed her (although the dripper was on). That's the 1st time such day happened, but I suppose I should be prepared for such occasions.
Was she doing that cause it was too dry? If I see her doing this again, I'm definitely taking her to the vet, but hopefully she will be fine. Also I'm thinking about investing in a misting system. Is Lucky Reptile Super Rain Mist System good for that?
