food question

hi i have a female veiled chameleon about 8inches long including tail no idea on age (had her a week today) she has just started eating i am feeding her on brown crickets(medium) how many should i feed her each day?
if i gave her to many would she over eat or stop when she has had enough?

Female veileds always seem to be hungry...so yes, you can overfeed her.

Consistent overfeeding can lead to producing large clutches, prolapses, egglaying problems, constipation, etc. so its not a good idea IMHO.

I feed them 8 to 12 crickets every two or three days depending on the season. The way that I keep them seems to prevent them from producing eggs...feeding is just part of it IMHO. Here is more information about that...

thanks was worried that i could over feed her she has now settled into a routine and looks in her dish each morning for crickets she seems to be always looking for more
