I havent been on the site in a while and I just felt like saying hello to everyone. Ive been working alot lately and going to school fulltime, along with family health issues that have been severe. But there is good news, my boy has grown tremendously and is looking good. I also made him an outdoor cage that i have dubbed the turkorarium. I got it for 5 bucks at a thrift store that was used as a locker/closet at a boys and girls home. It had solid sides and front door that i cut out and covered with screen. It still provides plenty of shade but good sun spots; i put some wheels on it since the sun moves and affects lighting his cage. I had been using a drainage system in his indoor cage but that was getting old, and i didnt like having piping and pooling involved. I took the plunge and just got some target tiers that have grated racks so the water just passes strait through into a plastic bin, i think some other members do this also.

edit: i will upload the pictures tomorrow, they're all turned sideways and i have school now, plus i dont want to give anyone a sore neck on my part.

okay here are the pictures finally, sorry about the delay. I had time last night to upload them, but when i came home my little dude was hanging out on the door of his cage, on the OUTSIDE:eek: I was worried that he would squeeze through the bottom bars of his cage like some mission impossible thing, which he did. So last night i got to make a screen bottom to prevent his escaping, and he was pretty bummed this morning when he saw what i did.
Enjoy:cool:

Neat enclosure, they always love "real" sun! The temps are finally low enough that I bring some of my guys outside for a few hours a day.

He is about 7 months old now, and shows some really nice colors when hes fired up. In the picture is more excited then showing off, but still awesome to look at. This weather is wonderful right now and im letting him soak up alot sun until its too cold. Thank god that extreme heat spell is done... at least for now.
