Extremely Slow Shedding and Weird Colors?

Hi everyone,

My 6 month old female veiled chameleon has been shedding extremely slowly for the past 4-5 days, and she still isn't finished. She started with her head, and that alone took 2 days, and now her body is shedding but it's still only about halfway done.

She is extremely grumpy and lazy. She seems fat. She doesn't move much throughout the day, she just sits on a log. I've still never seen her drink, even though I mist her all the time, and even more often since she's been shedding. She puffs up and hisses at me anytime I come into her cage to do anything, even give her food.

Lately she's been showing a new coloration when she's just sitting in her cage. Whenever I check on her she'll be really dark green, not far from black, with fluorescent bright green spots.

Could she be pregnant? And as for the slow shedding, is this normal as they begin to get older? I'm a novice chameleon owner but my panther of similar age shed his entire skin in less than 12 hours...but he's also much more active and so I imagine that helps the skin come off quicker. The only possible cause I could think of would be that she doesn't get enough water because she simply doesn't drink it off the golden pothos leaves in her enclosure.

What do you guys think?

Hey guys,

Can I get some more opinions on this matter? I figured it was better to assume she was gravid than not, so I replaced her plant in her enclosure with a laying bin, a large bucket full of wet all purpose sand. It's been in there for almost 24 hours, but I don't think she's touched it. When I checked on her this morning, she was still on the rim of the bucket, and she wasn't even showing her "gravid" colors anymore, which I thought was weird.

Here is a picture of the coloration I was talking about:

Let me know if you think that is a gravid chameleon. If it isn't, she may be ticked that I took out her plant for no reason haha.
