Enclosure temprature help required

I was wondering if anybody could advise me in a little worry i have.
We are reading at the highest 38c in the basking area and 23.4c at the highest in the cool area of the viv, i was wondering if the basking area is to hot for my yamen cham.
If somebody could advise me if this is to hot or if it is ok that would be brilliant as i have read on the care sheets that they like it up to 32c max.

How old is your chameleon? Adults can better handle the warmer temps than a young one. I bask babies in the very low 80's and adult males in the higher 80's. Female adults I bask around 83 or 84. You might find my blog helpful.
